Dear Trooper,
Welcome to your first day with the San Andreas State Police. Being a member of this department is both a tremendous honor and a significant responsibility. As a Trooper, you are committing yourself to a cause greater than yourself—to uphold the safety, law, and order of the citizens and visitors of San Andreas. While others enjoy the freedoms of civilian life, you will be on the front lines, ensuring those freedoms are protected. The challenges ahead may seem daunting, but every member of this proud department once stood where you stand today, faced those same challenges, and emerged stronger for it. One mission, one team—together, we are the SASP.
As a Trooper, there will be times when the road ahead feels difficult. In those moments, let the values of this department guide you: professionalism, integrity, and honor. It is imperative that you carry yourself with dignity and treat everyone with respect and fairness, regardless of the circumstances. Your conduct and attitude reflect not only on you but on the badge you wear and the department you represent. Always strive to embody the highest standards of law enforcement.
On behalf of Superintendent Matthew McBride and the entire San Andreas State Police, welcome to the family. We are excited to have you join our ranks and are confident you will find this journey both challenging and rewarding. This department thrives on teamwork and camaraderie, and you are now part of a tradition that values brotherhood and sisterhood above all.
Below, you will find key resources and steps to help you succeed in the days ahead. Take the time to study, familiarize yourself with our procedures, and prepare for the unique challenges of being a Trooper. Should you have any questions or require assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to your Field Training Officers or chain of command. Good luck, Trooper, and again, welcome aboard.
Sincerely,
Office of the Superintendent
San Andreas State Police
Congratulations on joining the San Andreas State Police and embarking on a rewarding and challenging career in law enforcement. We are pleased to welcome you to the Field Training Program, an integral part of your journey to becoming a skilled and confident member of our team. This program is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to excel as a state trooper and uphold the values of our department.
During the Field Training Program, you will progress through several structured phases, each tailored to equip you with the essential tools and competencies for success. You will begin with Phase I: Orientation, where you’ll familiarize yourself with department policies, procedures, and resources. Next, Phase II will take you through the Police Academy, where you will engage in intensive basic training covering a range of critical topics. Finally, in Phase III, you will apply your knowledge and skills alongside a Field Training Officer (FTO), demonstrating your proficiency in real-world scenarios as you complete the Field Training Skill Checklist.
As a probationary trooper, you are encouraged to embrace this period of learning, growth, and self-assessment. Your FTOs and training staff are here to guide and support you every step of the way, ensuring that you are prepared for the responsibilities of solo patrol. Remember, this program is designed to challenge you, but it is also an opportunity to grow and prove your readiness to serve the community with professionalism and integrity.
We are excited to have you as part of our team and look forward to seeing you develop into an outstanding state trooper. Welcome to the San Andreas State Police Field Training Program!
As a Law Enforcement Officer on Rowdy Racing RP, you are held to a much higher standard than the general population. You are a representative of not only the SASP but Law Enforcement as a whole for the community. With this, there are specific regulations that all employees must be in accordance to at all times either in or out of character. This includes conduct in city or in Discord's public or private channels.
All employees may not hold a cousin character who is associated in any capacity to a gang or motorcycle club.
All employees may hold any rank and progress to any rank only if the law enforcement cousin is the primary character, or the character that is most used.
All employees who like to have a SAFR cousin at the same time can only reach the maximum rank of Trooper First Class or Firefighter/EMS.
All employees who have a cousin associated with the DOJ can not be associated with a case in any capacity if the law enforcement officer had direct involvement.
All employees shall only be considered as co-owner with a single business on any cousin character.
All employees are not permitted to double clan with any other roleplay community in any capacity, including but not limited to criminal, civilian, law enforcement, etc.
Messages, pictures, information, or any communication that occurs in a private law enforcement channel shall be kept between law enforcement officers and not be shared with non-law enforcement members.
All employees must be able to record in city video and audio. Your video and audio recording must be on during all patrol operations.
All employees shall not conduct themselves unprofessional while out of character. This includes partaking in unprofessional conversations that are related to law enforcement in public Discord channels. All employees must be respectful to not only those in the department but to all civilians, regardless or rank or status.
All employees are not permitted in participating in any corrupt behavior. And will lead to serious repercussions.
Employment with the San Andreas State Police (SASP) is considered at-will. This means that both the employee and the department have the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without prior notice. This policy applies throughout the duration of employment, including the probationary period. At-will employment ensures that the department can make personnel decisions in the best interest of its mission and values, while also providing employees the flexibility to make decisions regarding their career path. While we strive to build a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship with all members of the SASP, this policy allows for the adaptability necessary to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and performance in law enforcement.
During orientation, you will receive a brief introduction of the agency as well as acquire your equipment and uniform. Please ensure by the end of orientation you do not have any initial questions of the Field Training Program or the agency as a whole. Also confirm you have access to SASP channels in Discord and entered on the roster with all information required.
Orientation should only take roughly 15 minutes given no interruptions or other unique circumstances or questions. Orientation will be head at State Police HQ. Once completed, you may move to Part II when you so choose.
All law enforcement officers must have a body cam capable of recording both video and audio that is used at all times. We recommend using Medal or Streamlabs OBS, but you can use your preferred recording software. If you need assistance downloading and configuring please ask your Chain of Command.
As a new member of the San Andreas State Police, we strongly encourage you to thoroughly review our existing policies and procedures, which can be accessed through the SASP Internal Database. This review is a critical step in ensuring that you have a foundational understanding of the department’s operations before beginning hands-on training during patrol.
We recognize that recruits come from a variety of backgrounds—some with extensive law enforcement experience and others who are entirely new to the field. To establish a common baseline for all recruits, we require everyone to review these materials. This will ensure that everyone is equipped with the same knowledge base as we proceed with training.
To successfully complete Phase I of the Field Training Program, you must pass the Field Training Phase I Examination with a minimum score of 80%. The exam will include material covered in the department’s policies, procedures, and the informational videos provided below. Take your time as you study and prepare, as the goal is not to rush but to ensure you have absorbed the necessary information to build a strong foundation for your career.
Please take your time to review the following video courses, which cover fundamental law enforcement topics essential for your general operations as a member of the San Andreas State Police. These videos have been carefully selected to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of key concepts and procedures that will serve as a foundation for your training.
Once you finish reviewing department procedures and instructional videos, please continue to take the Field Training Phase I Examination.
